Getting There:

The nearest major airport to access the Basmai Pass trek is Srinagar International Airport (SXR). From there, you can hire taxis or jeeps to reach the starting point of the trek, which can vary depending on the chosen route. Udhampur is the starting point of trek.

Best Time to Visit:

The ideal time to embark on the Basmai Pass Trek is during the summer months, typically from June to September. During this period, you can expect pleasant weather with clear skies and comfortable temperatures for trekking. However, be prepared for occasional rain showers.

Difficulty Level:

The Basmai Pass Trek is rated as a moderate trek. It requires a good level of physical fitness and prior trekking experience, especially if your chosen route involves high altitude passes or glaciers.

Included/Excluded

  • Stay is included from Day 1 (Gagangir) to Day 7.
  • You will be staying tent during trek on sharing basis
  • Udhampur to Gagangir and Sumbal to Srinagar.
  • From Day 1 lunch to Day 8 lunch (packed).
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, tea, during trek.
  • Trekking permits for trekkers.
  • Guide, porters and staffs permit.
  • First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders etc. will be available at all campsites to deal with emergencies.
  • Gaiters, microspikes will be provided as per requirements.
  • Tents, sleeping bag, mattress, toilet tent, kitchen, tent/dining tent, cutlery set
  • Certified trek leader from Terranova Adventure.
  • Qualified guide.
  • Cook, helper, porters.
  • For any emergency, rescue expenses are not included.
  • Meals during road journeys.
