Getting There:

The nearest railway station is Purulia Junction. From there, you can hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to reach Bagmundi, the usual starting point for the Gajaburu trek.

Best Time to Visit:

The Gajaburu Peak Trek is best enjoyed during the winter months, from November to February. The weather is pleasant for hiking, and the skies are generally clear for optimal views from the summit.

Gajaburu is rated as a moderate trek. The trails are well-defined but can be slightly steep in some sections. A moderate level of fitness is recommended.
