Friendship Peak Expedition, nestled in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, is a popular trekking peak that caters to both aspiring mountaineers and experienced trekkers. Getting There:

The nearest airport to Friendship Peak is Kullu Manali Airport. From there, taxis and jeeps are readily available to take you to Dhundi, the starting point of the trek.

Best Time to Visit:

The most favorable time to attempt the Friendship Peak Expedition is from May to October. During this period, the weather is generally clear and stable, with minimal chances of snowfall at lower altitudes.

Difficulty Level:

Friendship Peak is considered a challenging trek with a difficulty level ranging from 6 to 8 on an 8-point scale. Prior trekking experience, particularly at high altitudes (above 4200 meters), and basic mountaineering skills are crucial for a safe and successful summit attempt.

Included/Excluded

  • You will be staying in tents during expedition on sharing basis.
  • Transportation Manali to Dhundi and return.
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, soup, tea, hot drinks during expedition.
  • Trekking permits to National Park. Garbage cleaning charges.
  • First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders etc. will be available at all campsites to deal with emergencies.
  • Ice axe, snow boots, harness, carabiners, descenders, gaiters, tape sling (all necessary safety & climbing gears)
  • Certified trek leader from Terranova Adventure.
  • Experienced guide.
  • Cook, helper, mules.
  • Mules or porter for carry personal luggage.
  • Meals during road journeys.
  • Stay and Meals in Manali Hotel
  • Any kind of personal expenses.
  • Any early return travel costs or accommodation except for the days as per the itinerary.

Day 1 Drive to Dhundi, trek to Bhakarthatch

Drive distance: 21 km, 40 mins | Altitude: 9350 ft
Trek distance: 4 km, 3 hrs | Altitude: 10800 ft

Day 2 Trek to Lady Leg Camp

Trek distance: 3 km, 5 hrs | Altitude: 12800 ft

Day 3 Load ferry to Summit Camp and back to Lady Leg

Trek distance: 2 km, 2 hrs | Altitude: 15750 ft

Day 4 Occupy Summit Camp

We will move to Summit Camp today

Day 5 Summit Attempt and back to Lady Leg Camp

We will start pushing summit at 2 am at night.
Altitude: 17346 ft | Duration: 8 hrs

Day 6 Summit Attempt / Buffer Day
Day 7 Lady Leg to Dhundi, drive back to Manali

Drive distance: 21 km, 40 mins | Reach Manali by 5 pm
